LPORS (Light Plant Operators Registration Scheme)
The Light Plant Operators Registration Scheme is an assessment and registration scheme offered by Members approved by the HCTA.
It is a competence based scheme where emphasis is placed on the safe and efficient operation of most categories of small plant. Performance is measured against industry standards. For an Operator to be registered under the LPORS scheme they must undergo assessment by a qualified and approved LPORS Assessors working through a LPORS approved Member Centre.
The Light Plant Operators Registration Scheme is accepted by Highways England and many Local Authorities.
