CORS /SQA (Chainsaw Operators Registration Scheme)
The Chainsaw Operators Registration Scheme is offered by members who are approved by HCTA.
It is a competence based assessment scheme (training can be arranged where necessary) that emphasises the safe and efficient operation of Chainsaws and associated equipment.
For an operator to be registered they must undergo assessment by a qualified and approved CORS instructor working through one of the HCTA member centres.
The Chainsaw Operators Registration Scheme is accepted by Highways England and many Local Authorities.
The national registrar for the scheme is M V Consultants.
